Update

Hello City of Nortonville!

We bring you more news about the library! We will be operating under the following guidelines starting June 29th.

We will be open our normal operating hours.

Only 20 people in the library will be allowed at a time, including employees.

While in the library, you must practice social distancing and remain 6 feet apart at all times.

We strongly encourage you to wear a mask when you visit the library.

We will still have a sign-in sheet to track patrons and we will be taking temperatures at the door. Anyone with a temperature above 99° will be asked to leave the library. Due to no time limits on visits to the library we will be asking patrons to sanitize their hands regularly while they are in the library.

We are opening up 4 computers as well as our gaming systems and toys. 6 feet of social distancing will be enforced in these areas.

We will begin our snack program again on Wednesday July 1st. Snack time will be from 3:30 to 4:30 Wednesday thru Friday and the snacks will be grab and go.

Our preschool story time will start on July 7th at 10am and Heather Trinkle will be helping us out with that again this summer.

The summer reading program has begun. We encourage you to stop by and see our prizes and get signed up. We also have weekly activities for school age kiddos. If you did not receive a mailer telling you about these, please stop by and get one so you know what is happening when. The activities are an excellent chance to get kids out of the house and interacting with others again!

Our courier/Inter library loan service is back up and running so we will be able to get your requested item from other libraries.

The restrooms will still be closed to the public.

We also ask that you do not carry borrowed items into the library to return. Instead, please use black return bin that is in the vestibule inside the door on the north side of the library.

Once again we thank you for your patronage, help, and understanding!
